This is a fantastic walk - especially for the whole family. The landscape with the views, the pure white sand, the dunes, the big waves and numerous birds is unbelievable. We often observed whales and saw dolphins on your way to the skeleton of the Kakapo. In a misty night in 1900 the captain saw Chapman's peak and thought it was Cape Point. He turned sharp east and parked his boat on Noordhoek Beach. He ploughed so deep into the dune that he could step out of the boat without getting his feet wet.
