Next to the excursion to the Kakapo the Silbermin cylindrical way is the second big 'house' route of Little Paradise. This excursion offers very beautiful views of the entire Cape Peninsula from the backside from Table Mountain, the False Bay, Cape Point, Noordhoek and Hout Bay. The 8 km long round-tour begins already on 440 m height and belongs thus to the simplest and most pleasant tours of the Cape Peninsula. The biggest part of the way through Silvermine Nature Reserve proceeds on a gravel runway. The tour includes the highest point, the Nordhoek Peak with 754 m and to three fantastic lookouts. At the end of the excursion a picnic at the Silvermine-lake is a good idea. |
