The Addo Elephant Park is especially interesting for holiday-makers in the Western Cape, it offers nevertheless the next occasion to observe the Big Five - elephant, lion, rhinoceros, buffalo and leopard - in a large natural reservation on a safari. And with the current enlargement it becomes a park also for for whales and the white shark - the Big Seven!  
The park is situated north of Port Elizabeth and also still accommodates kudus, zebras and a large amount of bush goats, elans and other relatives as well as innumerable birds. The pill lathe operators are a special attraction, however. These inconspicuous flight-incapable beetles are almost only still to be found in the Addo Elephant Park.  
The park offers game observation streets and lookouts at water holes. Hikers can experience the park on foot in a separated reservation. Dominating plants are bacon trees, aloe kinds and pelargonium.
