The Aquila Game Reserve, a private game reserve with lions, giraffes, zebras, hippopotami and many other animals, is about three hours remote of Little Paradise.
Since the deerstalking ride begins by 9.00 o'clock, it is to leave Little Paradise very early. But the panorama view above the Cape Flats and the scenic drive passing Paarl and Worcester to Touws River, however compensate the early wake-up.
The game reserve is situated already in the semidesert, the small Karoo. A strong breakfast and a noon buffet complement the the ride in an open jeep through the reserve.
Alternative to the N1 you can return over the R 46 and R 303 over some passrides to Paarl.
