The National Park, approx. 20 square kilometers large, is situated 6 kilometers south of Swellendam. It is easy to be reached by car and also the park itself is to be explored without problems without all-terrain vehicles. The Bontebok National Park offers the cape-typical flora. Especially in the spring the park bribes with gigantic colored flower carpets. Next to the name giving Bontebok the park is also home of the Cape Mountain Zebra, roebuck, ibexes, jumping-goats, buffalos, foxes, adder, different small mammals and rodents as well as different bird kinds. |
