Kalk Bay is small, dreamy place between the sea and the mountain along the False Bay. You find numerous antiquated and junk shops, galleries, potteries and jewelry businesses. The ideal address, if you search for something unusual. But the main attraction is the harbour of Kalk Bay. Here you can observe the fishermen when they return into the protected port and unload their catch. And you do not find fresher fish for your supper anywhere. As special service the fish is gutted also on site. |

Who would not like to cook himself can enjoy the 'Olympia café' or the excellent fish-restaurant 'Harbour House'. Boat excursions to Seal Island set off in the harbour, too. Seal Island lies in the northwest part of the False Bay and is the home of a gigantic seal colony. Not rarely this colony lures the famous 'White shark'. |
