The 'Kirstenbosch National Botonical Garden' is one of the most beautiful and largest of its kind.

The 600 ha large park lies between 100m to 1000m. It offers an intensive insight into the fantastic variety of the South African flora.
Of the approx. 22.000 domestic South Africa plant species you can find here about 9.000. There are numerous hiking-ways through the garden. The cabbage garden, the rockery, the flavor garden and the Proteafields are especially worth a visit.

At many summer evenings concerts occur: You should not miss the 'Kirstenbosch sommer sunset concerts' in any case. A picnic with live music of the 'Cape Town Philamonic' with a view of the Cape Flats up to the Hottentots Mountains is a special experience.
