Long Street, located in the City Bowl, is one of the oldest streets in Cape Town. With a length of 3.8 km and more than 20 blocks it was in former days really the longest street in the town centre, reaching from the harbour up to Tamboerskloof.

Long Street is a lively, colourful street and has an irresistible ambience and irrepressible spirit. It has a unique architecture and it’s famous as a bohemian hang out, as the street is lined by many bookstores, antiquity shops and theatres, curioshops, galleries, music, photo and travel shops stores. Many pubs, nice cafés and cosy restaurants are awaiting your visit.
