The fishing village Arniston is in any case worthwhile a visit. Maybe you plan to stay overnight and have more time to enjoy the Nature Reserves and the long beaches.

Arniston bribes through his softened development with many white fishermen houses. The approx. 200 years old thatched fisherman cottages are an important component of the place in Kassiesbaai without whose inspection a visit would be incomplete in Arniston.
The initial name of Arniston that is still used particularly by locals is 'Waenhuiskrans', named after a cave with the same name in the southeast of the place. This cave has a size, that one could find a weatherproof cover there even with ox cars, also freely translated by that name 'Car house cave'. The cave is, however, accessible only in the case of ebb, you can ask about the tides in the village.

The most beautiful beaches are in northern direction of Arniston. They are excellent for beach excursions lasting for hours and also to bathing. Who searches loneliness is here correct.
